Vegan drinks at Starbucks are now on the menu! I was invited to stop in and sample two new vegan drinks that Starbucks began offering yesterday and both myself and my taste tester loved them and I know you will too. Thank you Starbucks!
Now, weeks ago when I first learned of these drinks I initially thought that they were going to be smoothies, but to my surprise they were cold brews blended with plant based protein and plant based milks – SO yummy and full of delicious caffeine. Yassss.
Vegan Drinks at Starbucks
- Cacao Protein Blended Cold Brew. Blended with cold brewed coffee, coconut milk, cacao and plant based protein.
- Almond Protein Blended Cold Brew. Blended with cold brewed coffee, almond milk, almond butter, plant based protein and banana-date compote.
These refreshing drinks are blended with tasty plant-based proteins, creamy plant-based milks and an all natural banana date compote for a sweet taste without all the calories. They’re just perfect for those days you need to refuel pre-wrokout or just want a cool and delicious caffeinated beverage on your way to or from work! Bonus, both are under 270 calories.
Most days I drink a vegan smoothie for breakfast but yesterday I was short on time, so I headed over to Starbucks on an empty stomach. I personally had not eaten anything in the 15 hours (since the night before) before tasting them and was thrilled that not only did the one drink fill me up, but it kept me full for nearly 5 hours! And quenched my caffeine craving. 🙂
The Cacao Protein Blended Cold Brew was my absolute favorite, it was rich and creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. Never bitter, just bursting with caffeine, coconut milk and cacao goodness! 🙂
